Right to Skate is a Saskatoon-based nonprofit dedicated to connecting youth with skateboarding. We offer scholarships to youth from low-income families and those facing other barriers to access. We host summer camps, skateboard lessons, and host programming for Indigenous youth orgs, group-homes, new immigrant and refugee youth, girls and women, 2SLGBTQ skaters and more. We are leading the push for a Saskatoon indoor skatepark, and fundraising for our own space!
In 2023 we gifted 40 skateboards to new immigrant and refugee youth and announced the launch of an Afghan Girls Skate Team with 18 members. We continue to provide ongoing lessons with the Saskatoon Open Door Society.
Thanks for another great year, SODS!
