It's time! General registration for Right to Skate Saskatoon skateboard lessons and skate camps is open!
This year we are offering three different types of programs: Camps, Courses, and single lessons - small group and private (book one at a time).
What level should I choose?
"The First Push" is for beginners still learning how to push, turn, and stop.
"The Basics" are for riders who are ready to learn how to ride skatepark features, ollie, and land their first tricks like shuv-its, kickflips, and quarter pipe tricks.
When are they offered?

What ages are they for?
Ages 6-18 are welcome to attend all of our programs. We recommend 8+ for "The Basics" and other Intermediate-Advanced classes. For ages under 6 or over 18, we welcome you to attend private lessons.
How much do they cost?
Single small group lessons start at $25/hour, private lessons start at $45 (or can be attended by two skaters for $60). Camps are $100, and Courses are $125.
We don't turn anyone away for financial challenges! If these prices are steep for you, please get in touch or navigate to the "Skate Scholarship" page above to learn about our skate assistance program.
What do I need?
We offer free skateboard and helmet rentals at all programs, but you're welcome to bring your own!
Knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards are highly recommended. We have a limited number available at camps, but we recommend investing in your own if you can. Inexpensive pads are available at Canadian Tire and Walmart, and higher-quality pads are available at Ninetimes Skateshop.
I want to buy a skateboard. What should I be looking for?
We recommend visiting the local skate shop, Ninetimes, on 8th Street for a proper fitting and a beginner board starting at $110. Cheaper boards are available at Canadian Tire or Walmart, but their quality is significantly lower, which can negatively impact your performance and learning ability. Sizing goes roughly like this: ages 7 and under - a board sized 7.3 - 7.75, for ages 7-11, a board sized 7.6-7.75, for ages 12-14, a board sized 7.75-8, for ages 12 and up, a board 8 inches wide or larger. Teens with larger feet, or those looking for an ultra comfortable ride, should look at sizes 8.25 or bigger.
Longboards are not suitable for our programs.
